ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The Eklavya Model Residential School is situated at Birchandra Nagar under Santirbazar Sub-Division and 17 K.M. away from South Tripura District Head Quarter (Belonia). The school is run by the TRIPURA TRIBAL WELFARE RESIDENTIAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS SOCIETY, under TRIBAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OF TRIPURA. The school was established on 6th August, 2003. At beginning only 36 nos. of students were admitted in class VI (six) during the session 2003-2004. From the next session the school was gradually upgraded and at present the school is running with 418 nos. of students from classes VI to XII.

AIM OF THE INSTITUTIONS

The aim of the institution is to provide quality education to ST students of the state in English Medium, with free of cost. The activities of the institution comprises of teaching, sports, cultural activities and other extracurricular activities for all round development of the children.

The institution is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and the Affiliation No. of the school is: 2020001 and School Code No. is: 35380.

DECLEARATION OF EXAM CENTRE BY CBSE

It is also noteworthy that after verifying the infrastructure of this school the CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION has declared this school as an examination centre for the Board Exam from the session 2007-2008.
