ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The Eklavya Model Residential School is situated at Birchandra Nagar under Santirbazar Sub-Division and 17 K.M. away from South Tripura District Head Quarter (Belonia). The school is run by the TRIPURA TRIBAL WELFARE RESIDENTIAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS SOCIETY, under NESTS, MoTA, Govt. of India. The school was established on 6^th August, 2003. At beginning only 36 nos. of students were admitted in class VI (six) during the session 2003-2004. From the next session the school was gradually upgraded and at present the school is running with 420 nos. of students from classes VI to XII.

AIM OF THE INSTITUTION

The aim of the institution is to provide quality education to ST students of the state in English Medium with free of cost. The activities of the institution comprises of teaching, sports, cultural activities and other extracurricular activities for all round development of the children.

The institution is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and the Affiliation No. of the school is: 2020001 and School Code No. is: 35380.

 

DECLEARATION OF EXAM CENTRE BY CBSE

It is also noteworthy that after verifying the infrastructure of this school the CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION has declared this school as an examination centre for the Board Exam from the session 2007-2008.

B. LIBRARY: There is no designated librarian. Number of books in library is above 500.

 

HOSTEL BUILDING

Total numbers of rooms are 58 in each Hostel out of which:

Living room = 53 nos.

Kitchen         = 1 no,

Dinning         =1 no,

Store room  =1 no,

Waiting/Recreational hall room =1 no.

Block for hostel Superintendent =1 no.

Same infrastructure is available in both Boys and Girls Hostel

 

STAFF QUARTER

The school is having 21 (twenty one) nos. of staff quarter for the accommodation of staff serving here.

WATER FACILITIES

10,000 ltr IRP project is attached to the school for drinking water facilities. 03 (three) nos. of 3 HP submersible motor are installed in Girls Hostel, Boys Hostel and Staff Quarter complex each for water facilities. 2000 ltr water filter are installed in both the hostels (Boys and Girls) for pure drinking water purpose.

Rouse: 5.15 AM.

Roll Call and Morning activity: 5.30 AM to 6: 15 AM.

Bath and Change: 6: 15 AM to 7:00 AM.

Breakfast: 7:00 AM to 7: 15 AM.

Leaving for school: 7: 40 AM.

School Assembly: 7: 50 AM.

Sweeping and Cleaning : 8:10 AM to 8:20 AM

Class Hours: 8:20 AM to 1:40 PM.

Lunch: 1:50 PM to 2:30 PM.

Rest Time: 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.

Games and Sports/ Coaching/ Remedial Classes: 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

Evening Assembly: 5:30 PM.

Snacks/ Tiffin : 5:15 PM to 5:45 PM.

Study Hours: 5:45 PM to 8:00 PM, 9 PM to 10:30 PM.

Dinner: 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
